Train Travel on T G V Bullet Trains

Bookmark and Share

The super fast bullet train system in France, known as TGV, is easy to use and gets you to a lot of cool places efficiently and comfortably. It connects with neighboring countries such as Germany and Switzerland and Belgium. From Paris to Lyon it's only 2 hours and 10 minutes. Paris to Luxembourg will take only 2 hours and 12 minutes. These trains can travel up to 200 miles per hour.

Although tickets may be purchased in advance and thrifty travelers commonly use rail passes, be aware that in the TGV system, there is a limit on the number of seats sold through the rail pass system. Therefore, it is imperative that you book bullet train seats in advance.

From the Gare de Lyon in Paris, to Nice, in the South of France: 681 miles, approximately 5 hours and 31 minutes
