Le Train Bleu was the name of the train that transported passengers from the City of Light, to the sunny climes of the French Riviera.
In 1900, this train-station restaurant was decorated in Belle Epoque style to commemorate the World’s Fair.
Two cavernous dining rooms are adorned with paintings, depicting scenes from the lovely Southern destinations served by the Gare de Lyon. Train depots are not usually synonymous with great dining experiences, but Le Train Blue was declared a national historic monument in 1972.

The fare, roast leg of lamb, Lyonnais potatoes, pork sausages, grilled fish and exceptional pastries complement the room. Elegant but homey, reminiscent of a bygone era, imagine the meal as a prelude to being whisked towards the Cote d’Azur.
