Le Bar A Soupes is the brainchild of Anne-Catherine Bley.
A famous American soup company has been proclaiming for decades that "soup is good food". It's a comfort staple, warming the spirit on the bone-chilling nights of Winter, and soothing the palate, chillled, on summer afternoons. We love soup.
Opening a soup bar in Paris was a very courageous move and Anne-Catherine has been blessed with a hearty reception. And why not? Parisians love food, of all kinds and ethnicities. It just has to be really good. And Le Bar A Soupes lives up to our rigorous standards.

Six soups are prepared fresh daily and the website lures us in with a varied menu for each day of the week. Ingredients are market-fresh. It's unbelievable how adept Anne-Catherine is at transforming a cream of carrot soup into an extraordinarily fragrant and luxuriant meal. She also has a way with pumpkin, chestnuts, peas, beets and lentils.
Soups to nourish, soups to warm you from head to toe, lead up to the ultimate reason why faithful clientele return again and again. It must have something to do with dessert...the killer chocolate cake. Soup and chocolate. She is feeding us love.
