If you are a fan of museums devoted to the genius of a single individual, and you love photography, then a trip to the Fondation Henri Cartier Bresson is a must.
Trained originally to be a painter, Bresson used his Leica to capture life all around him, blackening the shiny body of the camera to make it less obtrusive.

Along with three other compatriots, he founded the Magnum Agency in 1947, just after World War ll and thus photojournalism was born.
"To take a photograph is to align the head, the eye and the heart. It's a way of life." -Henri Cartier Bresson (1908-2004)
HCB had a way of making an ordinary moment, an extraordinary one. His images will always be dazzlingly fresh and poignant.

He was a genius of 'the moment', a master artist with his instrument.
