The use of angles and space and original 18^th century details, is truly remarkable.

The wooden beams and sloping walls are ancient but the use of color and cool texture, turns each room into a haven of antiquity with all the amenities we 21^st century humans crave.

Some rooms are small, but they don't feel small because they are just so fresh and pleasing to spend time in.  There are 22 of them in all, with good bathrooms and beautiful natural light.  Breakfast in the beautiful salon with a beamed ceiling and lovely details is a pretty fantastic way to start the day.  Add to all of this, a caring staff, and you've got a hotel which merits each of its three stars.  It's a joy, waking up at the Hotel Louis II, and comforting to know that it awaits you at the end of your day in The City of Light.
